Limitations of Existing Sensors and the Demand for Data
Current sensors detect and respond to a range of environmental inputs to create actionable data for computer systems. However, existing sensors face fundamental challenges in meeting new market requirements. Power, size, fidelity, accuracy, and privacy are all essential factors in new human-machine interfaces in Web 3.0 and mixed reality applications. Increased accuracy, stability, range, and safety are all essential for the new human-machine workplaces, systems, and procedures. Higher sensitivity, resilience, and speed are imperative for new industrial and manufacturing processes. All of these factors represent challenges for current sensor technologies, while being solved by CEMF.

Qeplon’s Breakthrough Innovation
The Qeplon sensor emits an electro-magnetic field and precisely measures disruption patterns created by objects that interact with it. The sensor can be programmed to sample and isolate specific interferences for multiple applications. It can correctly identify people and animals, as well as properties of materials and objects, and understand direction, movement, and expression.

Leaps in Innovation: ASICs
ASICs, or application-specific integrated circuits, are microchips designed for special applications.
Using a Qeplon ASIC can provide numerous benefits in sensor applications, such as size reduction, lower power consumption, and increased efficiency. Additionally, ASIC chips enable Qeplon customers to access our unique technology within their own manufacturing processes. Qeplon's ASICs can be designed specifically for a client to provide a function required by the specific end product.
Qeplon’s ASICs can shrink a product's size, reduce costs, and help build a solution needing fewer electronic components with higher overall reliability. ASICs can house many different systems on a single chip, reducing the number of vendors needed to assemble a final product.
At Qeplon, we continuously strive to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible. Our latest ASICs - Earendel Generation 1.0 and Earendel Generation 2.0 represent exponential improvements in performance and scientific achievement.

Technology Milestone
Qeplon (originally Ontech Security) was founded in 2012 in Seville, Spain by a group of highly skilled industrial engineers.
In 2013 Ontech Security developed sensor technology that is today patented worldwide, and used across a wide range of applications. The technology helps companies provide smart solutions and tear down the barriers to innovation.
Industrial engineers Juan Aponte and Isidoro Sánchez Tejado founded Ontech in Seville, Spain
Ontech is awarded EUR 600k by angel investors to develop
Ontech is awarded EUR 600k by angel investors to develop Aponteʼs Controlled Electro-Magnetic Field Technology (CEMF)- based alarm system
Yuzz Award granted by the Banesto bank for development of novel alarm system based on CEMF
Ontech successfully showcases its technology at the Customer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, USA, and wins 1st Prize at the ISC West (also in Las Vegas) for “Best in Intrusion Detection & Prevention Solution”
Ontechʼs in-house CEMF technology and its associated products win more awards: 1st Prize at the ISC West Las Vegas 2017 for “Best in Outdoor Perimeter Solution,” and 1st Prize at the FSEC London, UK for “Active Innovation of the Year”
Ontech wins 1st Prize at the ISC West Las Vegas for “Best in Personal Protective Equipment”
Ontech further develops CEMF technology and products for Home Security business lines under the trademark Wardiam (Wardiam Pro and Wardiam ONE)
Ontech engineers prototypes for defence, delivery, automotive, smart locks, and power tools sectors
Ontech develops the first ASIC or “chip” in collaboration with the School of Industrial Engineers at the University of Seville. With new AI and complex algorithm functionalities, Ontech products are now capable of providing greater speed and sensitivity.
Buy out with a new group of investors formed. New management takes the company from R&D to commercialization.
Ontechʼs team now consists of 50+ engineers with different specialties (hardware, firmware, design, testing, quality assurance, and manufacturing) dedicated to advancement in CEMF as well as a day-by-day growth of the commercial team.
Ontech has three technological patents covering its CEMF technology as well as use patents covering different use cases.
Ontech has a global presence covering all time zones.
Ontech takes further steps towards commercialization under a new Qeplon name.
The name Qeplon is derived from the astronomer Johannes Kepler, who in the 16th century proposed the laws of planetary motion using magnetic fields as the basis for his theory. He was the first scientist to deal with magnetic fields on an international level. Tells the story of the origin of magnetic fields in mankind, and retains the suffix “ON“ from Ontech.
